In the reading of “More Testing, More Learning” by Patrick O’Malley, he points out the issues why many college students have trouble passing their midterm and exam. In the essay O’Malley claims many Professor fail to realize thats giving a student exam can either break them or make them. Therefore, to O’Malley, the student starts to stress out, causing anxiety, trying to remember everything they have learned for that one day of exam. It would take up more time to study and lets not forget they also have other classes so it would be taking time away from other class. Patrick O’Malley essay is mostly towards professor or maybe even student parents. He trying to give in slight on what the students goes through and what they have to deal with. He does to make professor better understand their student. He wants them to change they way some of them operate their classroom to benefit the student more. O’Malley explains how if they do give more testing it will help the students in different ways and he's gives them trips how they should do it. I also feel like it is for the student parent just because when student calls them stressing out the parent cant do much about it. To conclude, Patrick O’Malley does have some great points but he doesn't have enough citable sources to back up this argument. Most of his sources are out dated He could asked some professor to take part of this research and have their student take test each week and see if they improve.This essay could have been more citable if he used sources in 2012.
