The medicine that they gave Rachael while she was held captive is one of the most important items that they can bring with them to survive. The medicine allowed Rachael to hear other people’s thoughts and it could be very critical in their escape though the medicine could turn out to be virulent. “They didn’t seem like my own thoughts at all. “The cabin a simple one-room structure was an old Fish and Game Department outpost Dryden had found while backpacking, years earlier” (Lee 110). Even though this cabin was simple, it allowed for Dryden and Rachael to clear their minds and to get some much-needed rest. The cabin provided shelter and allowed them to sleep for a while, while also being able to think about what their next plan might be to escape. While in the cabin Rachael and Dryden come across some intruders who are plodding through the woods as secretly as a snake ☺. Though because of the shelter in the woods they were able to take cover and made it out alive.
All of these items have played a very important role in the survival of Dryden and Rachael and up to this point they have used these items efficiently. These items will hopefully make sure that Dryden and Rachael get away safely and are able to make a plan to take down the Gual and his
