Patrick Henry uses rhetorical questions to have to audience realize “oh yeah he's right” moments. When he says ¨Sir, we have been trying that for the last 10 years have we anything new to offer upon the subject?¨ He is telling about an argument about what they've been doing for the past ten years and that it has done nothing for them. Patrick Henry says ¨gentlemen may cry, peace by peace but there is no peace.” Repetition of the word peace is used to show people that they can't sit there wanting peace. Britain has their army ready and they can fight whenever they would like and they are going to attack we they are least expecting it. Also Patrick Henry says ¨we must fight! I repeat it, sir, we must fight! When repeating “we must fight” he is using repetition to show that they need to fight, they all need to
