Patrick Henry at a Debate in the Virginia Ratifying Convention, June 5 1788, and James Madison, in the Federalist, Number 10, 1787 represent two different perspectives on the ratification of the constitution. I liked the staging for all of the battle scenes. In the first battle scene I enjoyed how both sides charged off stage left. I also noticed that when the opposing teams would fight one on one they would stand diagonal from one another and on different levels. It always seemed that the person who was going to lose the fight or almost lose the fight would be on the higher platform. For example when when Douglas and Henry IV were battling Henry IV was on the higher platform but Douglas would have defeated him is Prince Hal did not save him.…

There is no doubt that John Henry's relentless attempt to dominate steel was the cause of his death, but through this story, Johns story, John showed that he would not back down . John henry was a hardworker and was the traditional "man of the house" whom provided for his family and was goal oriented. My favorite part of the story, under the paragraph, showed readers that Henry's goal to drive steel was not yet to be forgotten, even after his death. Although the captain warned John Henry about the mountains cavng down, john did not care and he continued to hammer down the steel; not man or nature could drive him away from his unknowingly short lived accomplishment . I admire people who take risk in life and will do whatever it takes to reach…

Henry VIII is one of the many famous Kings in history and one of the the very few to pass on a legacy. He was born on June 28, 1491 in a city called Greenwich located in England. His father was King of England and did not acknowledge Henry VIII as much compared to his two older siblings. His father had viewed Henry’s older brother, Arthur as the future heir since he showed that he had the credentials to take over the throne, although only after Arthur’s death due to an unknown illness and his sister, Elizabeth due to blood poisoning that his father had started to acknowledge Henry VIII. He then gained the throne on April 21, 1509 at the age of 17 when his father had passed and soon became ruthless with power.…

Most people are familiar with famous proverb “like father like son” but I would like to take this a step further and examine the differences between a great-grandfather and a great-grandson. That is, in context of 11th and 12th Century England and the reigns of William I and Henry II of course. More specifically, the differences in kingdoms governed by the two. On October 16th 1066, William Duke of Normandy set sail for England, and soon enough was crowned King of England. Over a century later, his great-grandson Henry II sat on the throne of England, but the kingdom which Henry II ruled over was vastly different than that ruled by his great-grandfather.…
