I agree Elizabeth; I think these apps and patient portals could play a very significant role in improving the delivery of care. These tools encouraged patients to communicate with their health care provider and participate in their health care treatment decisions and as such could increase healthier behaviors and lifestyles among populations who use these tools. However, I still some concerns involving miscommunication and data security when storing patient’s private medical information. With the fast sharing of health information between providers and patients, these opportunities may mean patients spend less time waiting for x-ray scan result or appointments, but could also mean insufficient clinical information transfer, miscommunication
