The patient presented for group on time. The patient was dressed according to the season. The patient introduced himself and checked in as a "8." The patient reported using illicit substances on 9/28/16. Patient disclosed, "I am glad that this is football season because I love football. ECU has a home game and I plan to watch the game on TV this weekend." The patient voiced his perception about addiction being a brain disease. The patient stated "I do not believe that addiction is a brain disease because you cannot treat it like cancer and other diseases. We can agree to disagree." The patient gave comment on the fact that drug addiction can be successfully treated and he believes that addiction it due to biological, environmental and developmental
