Also, she talked about the collaborative patient-centered care. I was comparing the information given by Nancy with the information given during the “Interprofessional Care in the Intensive Care Unit” seminar in class and everything we learned in the seminar is part of actual practice. I learned that interprofessional collaboration is essential in an Intensive Care Unit setting because everyone in the team needs to be aware of what is going on with the patient and have the same plan and agree with the care given to the patient.
