Patient Care Technology Paper Technology plays a huge role in the nursing world today. Technology contributes to safe patient care, nursing education and communication between an interdisciplinary team. This paper will discuss three of the many important aspects of technology within patient care. Within this paper electronic documentation, cardiac telemetry and electronic medication cabinets will be acknowledged. Improving workflow and advocating for the use of new patient care technology will also be discussed and the importance of each.

One highly important technology in patient care is electronic medical records and documentation.
