The patient in the given scenario has voiced that he is a Christian Scientist and surgery along with medications are against his practices. Another religion that may have a moral conflict when it comes to health care is the Jehovah's Witnesses. The conflict would arise if there was a Jehovah's Witness patient who needed an organ transplant such as a heart. This particular religion believes that there should be no donation or receipt of any organ which blood flows (Treas & Wilkinson, 2014, p. 342).
