School refers to grades from as low as pre-K to college. Every single student in high school needs to take the same core classes before they graduate. They all leave high school while knowing the same minimal information and that information helps every student in college and/or their road to succeeding in life. However, not every student has the same pathway in mind, so they do not learn the required pathway skills if they do not take the pathway-related classes.
