As the Pathotherapeutics course reaches its end with only one test left to pass, I, however, feel very uncertain whether I succeeded in this course or not. The material covered in the course was not new or difficult to understand, in fact, I believe, I took very similar course during my Practical Nursing program. I did learn some new treatment options for disease and refreshed my previous knowledge; I generally satisfied with my progression in the course; however, the unknown mark for the group project makes me anxious. We formed the group of four people promptly and waited for the topic to be assigned. The topic was assigned in week 9, while in other courses we knew all our topics for group assignments from week 3. Not only the topic for group project was assigned late, but I never had a chance to see the marking rubric and, therefore, to know the instructor’s expectations about my work.
Despite the tight deadlines, our group equally divided the workload among four people and started to research the literature about the topic. When most of the work on individual parts of the topic was done, one of our group members informed us that he had to withdraw from the course due to personal circumstances. Now the work of four people had to be divided among three of us. Even at that point our group was working hard, despite the numerous assignments in other courses. Another frustration with the assignment hit me when the deadline for submitting the assignment was change to three days earlier right before the date for submission. At that point our group had little to no time to combine all individual parts together, proofread and submit the assignment. I had to spend the whole night working on the final version of our paper, extremely stressed and frustrated, which could be avoided should the assignment was planned more
