The movie does an excellent job with capturing the kids’ attention by using bright colors throughout the film. The characters voices also plays a huge part in the movie because right off the bat the audience can tell who are the good guys and the bad guys, no need to guess. What makes Scar frightening to little kids is the deepness of his voice, his dark colors and his hard features. The huge scar on top of Scar’s eye does not help him either it makes him look intimidating. Scar’s bright green eyes are mesmerizing, making it easy to trap each character into his fake charm that gives off a bad vibe that he could be the bad guy or the antagonist. Mufasa is the total opposite of Scar; Mufasa has a strong voice that makes him look like a leader. Looking at Mufasa, the audience can tell that he is royalty, has knowledge and is respected by others. The audience instantly likes Mufasa when the animals of Pride Land showed their respect for Mufasa by bowing down to him and his family. At the start of the movie, Simba is shown as a vulnerable but yet strong-minded little lion with an optimistic outlook on life. From the beginning, the audience fell in love with Simba because everyone has a soft spot for anything that looks cute and cuddly.
