Whenever someone tried to use emotion to persuade me I almost always tune it out instantly, simply because I don’t find it as a logical argument considering everyone feels differently. Plus everyone used pathos, think of it like your favorite type of food, you can eat it over and over and over but eventually it’s going to get old.
Finally my favorite form of argument, well close enough to it, logos or the use of reason. When I make an argument I use mostly facts and statistics that are readily available. The reason why this is my favorite form of argument is because you can argue an opinion or an emotion very easily, but a fact is much more difficult to argue.
Think of it as taking the offensive rather than defensive. With solid facts and statistics others can try and argue against them but if they do not have their own to go against yours and instead try to use emotion or character to disprove something that is already true without any real backup then their impression from then on to the audience will mostly be
