The Apple iPhone is an innovative way to search the web, communicate, and navigate through life. The day I got my iPhone changed how I viewed technology. The simplicity of such a small device seemed like a dream; it allowed me to share all my information between my MacBook, iPad, and iPhone, making it easier to complete homework, check my email, and communicate. I enjoyed the ability to speak to Siri and receive an instant update of all my notifications or GPS to the nearest gas station with only a touch of a button. I love the accessibility and style of the iPhone. My artifact is a gold and white iPhone 5S model number A1533. As I walk down the street, I see iPhones everywhere sparking an undeniable desire for the cutting-edge technology such as the retina display camera to gain a sense of belonging. The desire to fit in with the mainstream group illuminates the cultural dependence on technology as a way of social acceptance. If I did not already possess an iPhone, I might desire to join the technology obsession to suppress my emotional void of feeling disconnected with what the technological world has to offer. In turn, it appeals to the reasoning that if everyone else is happy with the latest technology in the iPhone, then I will be happy too. On the other hand, Apple purposely projects simple commercials to persuade the viewer sheer ease in operating an iPhone versus competing brands along with showing people from all around the world happily using an iPhone. In addition, subconsciously I see large numbers of users with this phone and commercials to further ignite a desire to own an iPhone. Without actually stating it, Apple shows that owning an iPhone enables me to belong and stay on trend with the rest of the trending world. Apple by far has the best user interface in the game, iOS, which is Apples original Operating System is probably the most dependable OS in smartphones to date. IOS is easy to use and has been deemed the best operating system by almost all age groups. Apple takes pride with their OS, OS is installed on handheld systems and iPads, which also allows for connectivity between your MacBook or any wireless product that supports their interface. IMessage persuades the audience by appealing to a communication system that allows messaging without phone connection reliably. Moreover, the message system gives the consumer a way to instant message between other Apple users quicker than normal text messaging along with the ability to text from any connected Apple device such as an iPad, MacBook, or Apple Watch. Apple uses ethos, pathos, and logos to combine together to make a rhetoric device that appeals to a wide variety of age groups. All the amenities that are offer combined with the trend of Apple products create a craving for the newest technology that Apple has to offer to the market. The wide variety of amenities such as apps make it appealing to parents to give to their children to keep children entertained during long road trips or after school.
