This dangerous mindset creates discrimination, hatred, and a culture that is cultivated by fear. On the day the United Airlines flight 175 was hijacked, my religion was too. Since then, Islam has become the scapegoat for any act of violence in this country, and my beautiful religion was portrayed as a vilified one. The animosity that many of us have towards Muslims is outright discriminatory. The mainstream media, in the attempt to cultivate fear in this nation, is blinding people with this fog of Islamophobia.…

In today’s multicultural society, individuals identify themselves and live within the context of their identity, race, class and culture. Social inequalities experienced by the African American race was due to the sign of hopelessness shown because of the social class they were born to, as well as, the way they were raised. Due to the lack of job opportunities and education, families in urban communities suffer because it creates tension. In Dorothy Allison’s essay, “A Question of Class,” she explores her identity by focusing on her experiences as what she refers to as “southern white trash”. The inescapable impact of Allison being born in a condition of poverty that this society finds shameful, contemptible and somehow deserved was something that she spent her whole life trying to overcome and deny.…

This author just chose to wrap his writing up without a policy. “Muslims in America” by Paul Barrett is all about shocking facts to do with Muslim people. The conjecture of the essay is easy because this writing is so jammed packed with facts, the writer informs us about the statistics of the Sunnis vs. Sufism factors of the Muslim religion. The definition of this essay is everyone judges Muslim people but in reality most American Muslims for the most part have white collar jobs and make more money than the average white man. The quality of the essay seemed kind of angry he was having to write about this subject.…

Islamic archaeology is defined by Marcus Millwright as archaeology of “the regions where the ruling elite has professed the faith of Islam” (Milwright 2010: 6-7). This paper seeks to explore the ways in which Islamic archaeology can aid in the understanding of Islam and Muslims in the medieval world, by first examining the requirements of Islam and Muslim customary practices, and then evaluating three sources through which they may be manifest in material remains. Archaeological evidence of Muslim burial customs, religious pilgrimage (hajj), and the urban organization of an Islamic city are all ubiquitously indicative of a Muslim cultural framework established by Prophet Muhammad. Muslims adhere to Islam through requirements comprised within…
