The purpose of this TED talk was to inspire people of all ages to follow their bliss. Pat Soloman explains that every person has their own story where they are the hero. He tells his journey of how he truly turned his life around and became the hero in his own story.
He was stuck in a midlife crisis and both his parents had died, so he decided to follow his bliss. He was in stage 1, separation. He had the dream of making a short film explaining the Hero’s Journey and he pursued it. Along the way he was faced with challenges and criticism. This was stage 2, initiation. Finally he had finished the film and he shared it, this was his return. I believe that he shared his story in order for us to fully understand that we all face day to day
