Pastoralia is a short story by George Saunders set in a cavemen amusement park where an unnamed man and Janet are given the laborious task of hoodwinking guests into experiencing an authentic prehistoric adventure. The cave people are deprived of speaking English while at the rapacious establishment. Each night employee must complete a daily survey of their partners ability to abide to the rules.
