Christian counseling is when a pastor counsel using the methods of psychology through the viewpoint of the Bible. Christian counselling have mostly been emphasized in the context of counselling in—church and parachurch settings, the inspirations or objectives of counselling being the aspects of—change, discipleship, benefit, and guide people/ congregation in a world view, help them in their personal relations in association with God. This paper will aim to understand and analyse what is Christian counselling. This article was first published online in September 6, 2010 by Mark R. McMinn, Ryan C. Stanley, Kurt C. Webb and Winston Seegoblin at George Fox University. This paper will help us to understand the role of a Christian counsellor, and how we can make this role more professional and ethical in the psychological perspective. In my opinion it is very important that if a counsellor is Christian they should be firm in their faith and be bold and courageous to share the love of God. As a future pastoral counselor I would say it is very important that one should hold a Christian world view and Christian values and without a personal relationship, that simply cannot be the case normally. As we have learnt there are different approaches but if someone is going for counselling, the counsellor must have a personal faith, a personal relationship with the God of Christian theology—the creating, sustaining God who is always there in every
