Conflict Management
Conflict will arise when sinful people are gathered together, therefore the pastor must not be caught off guard when this happens. He should be a peacemaker. The pastor, upon hearing about a conflict, should prayerfully consider how to reconcile all parties involved. It should be noted that not all conflicts will be resolved quickly; non the less reconciliation should be the goal of the pastor.

He must be willing to face opposition, trusting in the Lord at all times. He must not seek the approval of man but of God. This means that ultimately, if he is seeking the will of the Lord, then what others think cannot deter him. He must seek to address the conflict, working towards reconciliation at all time. He must be aware of his personality and defensiveness. He must be willing to engage those who are in opposition or in conflict with him.
Time Management
The pastor must value time. This not only includes his time, but the time of other individuals as well. This means that he is punctual, making sure to show up early to all events, especially meetings with groups or individuals. The pastor should be a planned man. This requires him to keep track of all tasks that must be accomplished and prioritizing them.
The pastor should plan time for his family, sermon preparation, administrational duties, visitations, and counseling. The pastor should have a monthly, weekly, and daily planner. The prioritized tasks and appointments should be entered and kept up with. This will allow the pastor to be a good steward of his time as well as others.
Funerals
Funerals are hard times and the pastor must be there to comfort the family of a lost one. The pastor must make sure to visit the family, understanding that there may be nothing that he can say or do, but his presence will be greatly …show more content…
It is highly encouraged that the pastor spends time with the couple before they are married. During this time, the couple is counseled. They should come to knowledge about what marriage is and what it means according to the Bible. The pastor should only marry a couple that he is confident that God has joined together.
During the wedding ceremony, the pastor should ask the bride what color suit he should wear. If none is suggested, either a grey or dark black will suffice. The pastor should show up early and pray with the bride and her parents. He should do the same for the groom as well. The pastor should emphasize the image of the marriage union and Christ union to the church.
Church Staff Relations
Church staff should seek peace at all times. There should be organizational and communication structure in place that allows everyone to be on the same track. The staff should be willing to help out each other. The pastor must know what projects and programs are going on at all times. Calling staff meetings can do this.
The pastor must see himself as a servant leader. He must be willing to help others when they need assistance. Office etiquette should be business like. The pastor and staff to should seek to establish and maintain a professional atmosphere.
