Past Tornadoes Future

Tornadoes: Past, Present, and Future Severe weather has always been an interest for many people whether they have experienced it or seen it on media like shows and movies. Dr. Victor Gensini Associate professor of meteorology gave a lecture on Tornadoes of the past, present and future. For much of science we look into the past to give us useful information that may help people. For example, by studying past tornadoes we are now able to better locate and warn people when a tornado is near. Present tornadoes allow us to help prepare and form new technologies for the future. This technology has led to a decrease in fatalities when experiencing tornadoes. People now get emergency alerts on their cell phones and TV screens in a timely manner allowing them to know the progress and prepare for the severe weather or tornado. Scientists has also predicted that the jet stream across the pacific has a influences with the causes of tornadoes. By bettering our technology this will also allow us to better prepare for the future. What scientists know for the future of tornadoes is that vulnerability and exposure are still key.
