Passsaging In Today's World

Decent Essays
Honestly, I agree with both passsages. I believe that in today's world, that we need to include young adults to get involved in training groups to learn without having to pay out of pocket for college cause most of young adults can't afford the tuition and all the other bills colleges want them to pay. It gives them an experience on their hands if they wanted to get a better job to support themselves and provide whether they are on their own or have family that their with. I also agree that in today's world, that we should get our young adults that are men to serve to be able to know what to do if we were ever to have another war in this country. It helps men to protect their family, spouse, kids, and other people who need that man's help. With

If a young man or woman wants to fight and die for our country on the front lines of war, that it should be their decision to make. First reason, young people in this country have so much more to live for. It is a proven fact that 17.68% of the young people that go into war die. However, it is a documented fact is that the male-female ratio gap has been getting larger since the early nineteen eighties (Forbes). This provides evidence that currently young men are already diverting their attention away from college. In addition to this fact, the Institute of Education Sciences reports that enrollment of students over the age of twenty-five rose forty-two percent from the year 2000 to 2010 (U.S. Department of Education, National Center for Education Statistics). Therefore, as you can see young adult males are already diverting themselves away from college and enrolling after the age of twenty-four. Furthermore, we would most likely see a rise in high school academic scores amongst young me because of the fact that they would study harder in high school in preparation for the military placement exam, so that they could be placed in non-combat military occupations.…

“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him,” said G.K. Chesterton. A love for their country is why my veterans serve. It never really sunk into me how much veterans sacrifice for us. I think that we need to show as much respect to people that have served in the military forces to make us be able to be free. Or be able to pursue whatever we would like to.…

Every year we celebrate Veterans Day on November 11th. Veterans Day is a day where we honor the men and women, dead or alive who served in the military. Forcing the Military What if there was no push to persuade young people to go to college after graduation, but a push for them to go off and fight for their country? We would have a culture of breeding warriors and not innovative thinkers and creators. Not only that, but people would only look forward to obtaining a higher education if they made it out of the military unscathed. This would be the reality of the United States if we were to impose a mandatory two year military requirement on young people after graduation and it once was when we had the military draft. This led to mass protests across the country.…
