Character, and passion is what comes to mind when I think about this person. He would do anything for me. He gives me motivation and he inspires me to try my hardest. I first noticed this when I first stepped on a baseball field. When I first stepped on a baseball field I was overwhelmed. I didn’t exactly know what to do. I was just trying to do what he did. I was following exactly what he was doing. It was always a competition though. “Look what I can do,” he challenges. “Oh, ah. Well look at this,” I say. As I try and do what he did, but better. He always has been very passionate about baseball. We have been playing together for the past 5 years. We have had our ups and downs together. Good season too bad season we still …show more content…
We worked on it for about and hour and I finally started to grasp the concept. He was never angry or frustrated with me, but he was happy I was trying to do what he was doing. I eventually dropped back down because I had enough to work to do without asking him for help. In addition we would go to a lake to tube, ski, and Kneeboard. When I am trying to do a new trick that I just thought about I know that he's there just in case it goes wrong. Sometimes we will even go Kneeboarding together. “Let’s see if I pull up on my rope if we can switch sides!” I suggest. “Do you want me or you go up?” He states. “I will if you don’t mind.” I say. As I pull on the rope so that i'm not as far away from the boat. He then lifts his rope so that it's easy to go under his rope. I was scared for a moment, but also anxious to see if the plan worked. When I was across I was so happy. He was congratulating me when my plan worked and the rest of the time we were still doing it. Glenn has always had great character, and passion. He has always helped me and challenged me. He is the reason I got to where I am right now, and why I am so successful in school and sports. Now when I step on the baseball I have a comforting feeling knowing that he will be there for

Why were black people segregated from baseball? Today many of the legends and greats we think of were African Americans, and it’s crazy to think they were excluded from the MLB just sixty years ago. They were segregated from anything you can think of at the time, and sports weren’t excluded. No matter if you were an Olympian athlete or a baseball all star chances are you’d end up with a dirty low pay job. So rather than give up the sport they loved and performed well at, they created the Negro Leagues.…

For as long as I can remember, I have always played as the left fielder in baseball. Playing this position was always easy for me. When I estimated the trajectory of a ball speeding through the air, I could always run to where I thought it would be and catch it. It was as if the outfield became my home, I was comfortable there. One day during practice, my coach told me to try and play as the first baseman.…

Baseball: the sport where you stand around for 20 minutes and move 3 feet to the left and move 3 feet to the right. It’s so intense. It’s so intense that you could take a nap on the field with everything out there. Of course, I’m being sarcastic. The only time it’s actually fun is when you’re annihilating the other team while they’re asleep on the field.…

I couldn't wait to get back on that field in front of those scouts and show them that I had become a far better player than I was the year before. My very first baseball game I can remember it like it was yesterday. A hot sunny day Burning the pavement, the heat beating down on our car as we drive to downtown Houston. After three exhausting hours and two tire blowouts we finally arrived at Minute Maid Park the home of the Houston Astros, my first baseball game. Once we got past the security line we were free to go to our seats which were located in the middle of first and home. We got there about half an hour before the game started so the batters were out in the batting cage crushing the ball with a mighty swing, I was hypnotized by how gracefully they moved their…
