I define passion as an uncontrollable emotion for someone or something that compels you to exert more than the required amount of energy to keep it ongoing. Passion is more than excitement, its devotion and ambition that one materializes by putting their mind, body and soul into it.
Finding a passion isn't easy. It takes people years, decades or their entire lives to find the one activity that brings them true joy. Sometimes it's more than just joy, its a sense of fulfillment, a sense of pride, talent and purpose. However, some lucky beings out their are fortunate enough to find their passion a lot earlier, lets say, before college.

Society wants healthcare professionals, engineers, lawyers, educated politicians, journalists, computer programmers, networking specialists, management consultants, etc. Its sad really when you really think about it. We view certain jobs as "real" careers and others as whatever. But to be honest, we need everything! We still need the musicians, artists, actors, philosophy professors, and english teachers. So to those who strive to be just that, you do you boo! Don't let the rest of us take you down. Its not that society deems these jobs useless, its just that it deems others as more useful. With that said, by knowing the risks of maybe having to live paycheque to paycheque and wondering if you can pay this month's credit card bill you can't complain when you know what you're going to get yourself
