One significant goal that many individuals have in life is finding their passion. As a clown may inspire a child, he may want to be a juggler for children party. While many parents will shudder about the thoughts of having their children be the fear factor for many individuals, passion focuses on this very concept. Simon Sinek based his view on passion differently than how others will view it. In this video, he found passion not as an action, but “a form of activity that you can do for free and cannot believe that you get paid for said activity” (Sinek). If someone were ecstatic to perform a duty as a sanitation worker, he would outperform any other sanitation worker who despised their work. This word rings a bell to many failures. Some phrases like “I cannot be successful because I am not smart” or “I fail to do the simplest of task” are excuses that we think up. As a result, many of those same people end up not pursuing great careers or even good careers because they inhibited their self-worth. Therefore, having a great smile towards wanting to work hard in one’s respected field will help increase one’s chances of a “great” career. Passion and friendliness also correlate well with one another. Most often, individuals will have a better attitude when they are doing an activity that they enjoy. This form of passion shows especially in customer service. Customers can see when an employee is enjoying his or her job when they look at that smile on their faces. This action will put a smile on the customer’s faces and will continue patronizing the establishment to see the friendly server again. As for me, I strive to connect my passion in hospitality and communicating with guests to create a family-friendly environment. As a result, customers come back and continue to patronize the restaurant. Even with passion, leadership is a crucial component to building a drive while moving up
