What is a biblical truth from the passage that ministered to you? Explain.
Chuck Smith stated, “ Hey, if your load is so heavy you can’t carry it, I have to assume that you have taken on yourself something that God never put on you.” This was a great reminder to me, because although I know that God’s burden is light, so often I selfishly carry burdens that are not from the Lord. One of the reasons I do this is because I struggle with feeling unworthy, and I justify it in my mind that somehow if I try and carry burdens in my life I can help “pay” back the debt I owed, even though I know I cannot. Jesus already paid my debt and for me to try and carry my own sinful burdens for myself is insulting what He already carried to the cross. Jesus paid
