Another person in life and literature who fits my definition of courage is Parvana from the book, The Breadwinner. She was very courageous during many horrible situations, but she didn't let anyone stop her. One example of Parvana being courageous was "'Get out of my house!" She yelled. She threw herself at the soldiers. (pg 32)" Parvana knew the risk of throwing herself at the Taliban but she disregarded the risk to try to save her father. This was a risk since the Taliban could've shot or hurt her. Another example of Parvana's courage was "Over and over, Parvana and her mother kept yelling out their mission.
