There is no guarantee with hope. Placing hope in something is to also accept the disappointment that may happen as a result. The main points featured today will be the importance of hope in The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, the importance of hope in life, and how hope has influenced my life. Today, these questions and more will be answered. Perhaps, not with answers that you agree with, but answers nonetheless. This is because nothing Junior does is attributed to his belief or lack therefore of hope. If Junior were to simply sit and hope, his success would not be possible. Life has taught me to expect the worst, yet work for the best. You cannot hope for anything if you are not prepared to work for what you hope for. If you hope for an A+ yet, do not study you’ll be greatly disappointed. For example, I hoped I would get my sight fixed. The sad truth is I hoped for something unattainable and unrealistic. Perhaps, i’m not ready to accept the possibility of hope. On a deeper note, maybe I am what some would call a Pessimist. Some would think I don’t want to believe in hope because I am bitter. That could be partly true. Or the honest truth is I have believed in hope but, it didn’t turn out. So, I stopped believing. As hope has only ended in tears and anger for me.I decided to simply stop hoping. I save everyone around me my wrath and sadly take the easy way out.I hope no one ever stops hoping. Although, I try and live by the fact that if you do not work for it, it was not worth hoping for in the first place.
Today, these questions have been answered. Hopefully, you have formed your own opinion on hope. Whether you believe in hope is your choice. No matter your choice, it’s important to remember that disappointment is always a possibility if you choose to believe in hope.
