Andy Dwyer
Andy Dwyer is a talented musician, aspiring detective, and one of the most honest and genuine friends on television. On the television show Parks and Recreation, the character Andy Dwyer is played by actor Chris Pratt. Andy Dwyer is a happy-go-lucky 20 something year old musician, that dreams of being a cop. Unfortunately, his lack of ambition tends to interfere with bringing that dream into fruition. However, anything that he may lack in ambition he more than makes up for with the ability to always be a great friend, co-worker, and band mate. Polar opposite of the bubbly, goofy man-child character Andy Dwyer is, yet Andy was the only person that could make April crack even the slightest smile. Andy does anything he can to make April happy and that helps them develop an even stronger relationship. April is not the only person on the show that is positively influenced by Andy, he is always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Even if he is not the most fitting for the task at hand he does not hesitate to jump in and do the very best job he can. Though often he ends up making a complete fool of himself. He is comfortable with who he is, and is not ashamed of being in the spotlight. Perhaps that is the reason it is so easy for him to pursue his not so promising career as a …show more content…
Throughout the series you will see him pick up his guitar and play a tune, countless number of times. He is a very loyal musician playing in multiple groups that went by a countless number of names. His drive and passion for his music is inspiring. Although he does not have all the talent he needs to be a big shot musician, he is not afraid to get on stage and attempt to please people with his joyous attitudes and trying efforts. For example, in one episode, the town is mourning the death of their beloved toy pony mascot, Sebastian. The episode featured an event celebrating Sebastian’s life, Andy performed an especially moving song he wrote titled, “5000 Candles”. The song was very inspiring, and it uplifted the entire crowd. His ability to affect so many individuals emotions through his music is uncanny. It is easy to look up to someone who has that type of power. Music is just one passion of Andy’s. He also tirelessly dreamed of one day becoming a police
