Sternheimer, Karen. It’s not the Media. Boulder, Colo, 2003. pp. 5-40.
This novel analyzes the effect of pop culture and the many ways it influences children. It destroys the notion that social media is the reason for all the bad things happening with children and instead persuades the reader that media educates and supports our youth. It takes areas such as music, television, movies, games, and so on and disempowers the negative notion that older generations think when associating them with our youth. This book contains positive insight toward the topic and has been written by a well-established author as well as having reviews from well-established professors, directors, and authors.
