All over the world kids go through a hard time in their life, for an example, divorce. Divorce is probably one of the most common struggles to go through in life and it's sad to say that it happens to a lot of families, including me. It is a topic that is very hard to talk about and deal with over your lifetime. When my parents got divorced it had changed me as a person.

My siblings and I, worried and scared as can be, seated on my soft pink bed waiting for the breaking news, that would impact on our life forever. The horrid thoughts going through my mind of worry. Worrying about how this will change me through my life, where are we going to live, and am I ever going to see both of my parents again? I knew that I just

The words come out of my mom's scared mouth, “ Guys we are so sorry to say this, but me and your father are getting a divorce.” The room is still silent. My heart suddenly stopped. I started feeling dizzy and I felt like I was going to throw up. Those hurtful words repeating on and off in my sorrow brian. Everything went blank, I didn't know what to do. My mom spoke again with worry in her voice, “ We are so sorry, we will try our best to make it easy for you.” Looking over at my siblings with tears rolling down like rivers on their sad faces, kept quiet. Everything that had happened in those quick horrid minutes, were the last and I couldn't change them. I knew that my life was ruined and it would never be the same again.

That same horrible school year was awful. The repeating words of, “ We’re getting a divorce,” going on and off in my brain, while the sounds of the deathful rings go off in my ears.
My anxiety went higher, my self esteem went higher, and my own self as a person went lower. I didn't feel like the same person that I was before. I acted like a sweet young girl who was always happy in class and to the outside world, but in reality I was in pain. I always had doubt in myself that I was never going to get
