All three of the authors implemented and integrate PBS into their own child-rearing practices and all of them saying that they have experienced positive results by implementing the PBS to put an end to their child/children’s difficult behavior. In this book, the authors combined their personal experiences and also their professional experiences in creating a user-friendly workbook for parents to read and apply in their lives. Besides of their experience in having child/children with difficult behavior, all of these authors are also experts in this field and they are undoubtedly qualified to write a book on this topic. Their credibility can convince us to follow what they write without hesitation. Hieneman has a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of South Florida, a degree in psychology, and upheld certification in behavior analysis for 15 years. While, Karen Childs has a M.A. in Special Education from the University of South Florida, focusing on emotional and behavioral challenges and Jane Sergay has a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Boston University and a M.Ed. in human development from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Because of their background, I think the readers will realize the credibility of the authors and become more certain to assimilate PBS in their own families.
