Raising a child with a neurodevelopmental disorder puts a more prominent strain on parenting skills than that of raising typically developing children. Actually, in parents of children with ASD and parents of children with ADHD, abnormal amounts of parenting stress have been recognized. Parenting stress is a particular kind of stress that emerges when the parents' impression of the demands of their role as parents surpass their resources to adapt to them. Research on parenting stress in parents of children diagnosed with ASD or ADHD has been shown that the qualities of these two disorder make child particularly stressful. Subsequently, the primary goal of this study was to look at the parenting stress of four groups of parents: parents of kids with ASD, parents of kids with ADHD, parents of kids with comorbid ASD+ADHD, and parents of typically developed kids.
