Gil and Karen had some troubles with their relationship throughout the movie, but they were able to stick it out. Gil told Karen that he had quit his job, but then Karen informed him that she was pregnant. They argued a lot about it, but they realized that they really needed to come together and figure the situation out. Gil had to take his job back even though he didn’t like it. When I was a young pup, my mom and dad argued about everything. I remember not being able to sleep some nights because they yelled so loud. Most nights, it was about the littlest things. Even so that at the time, I could of even solve them. My dad always wanted to have the last word, but my mother would always have to reply with something sarcastic back. Gil doesn’t like his job at all. In some sense, my job isn’t as bad as you’d think, and it definitely has its perks. The perks include: nice tan, fat paychecks, and some of my coworkers are my good friends. As it has its perks, there also some things that make it a living hell. Sitting in a chair for roughly eight hours a day can really get old. Also, dealing with the little kids that don’t listen at all really tests my patience. Lifeguarding can be one of the most boring yet important jobs I’ve ever had. For the job, you have to be extra observant and must be on your toes at all time.
