In the lower quality schooling you will tend to see more gang activity and more interracial violence. The teacher status and pay will typically be lower which ends up producing less quality in the education. In rougher neighborhoods, children can be exposed to environmental toxins. A close proximity to factories can cause air pollution and water pollution which can have a toll on overall health. Also, rougher neighborhoods also tend to bring around the possibility of bad childhood influences. The teenage years are particularly bad for parents. Bad influences can lead to out of wedlock child bearing, which can lead to more family problems.
