In The Parent Trap movies, there a lot of things that are very similar but there are also a few significant differences between the movies. Some of the noticeable differences that I’m going to introduce include: how the idea of the picture was introduced, the difference in where the mother lives and how everything was upscaled in the new one. I think the new Parent Trap is a better movie overall, and enjoy it a lot more. First of all, in the new movie right in the beginning it shows the two parents on their wedding. They are on the boat and it shows that there was a picture taken at that moment. Whereas in the old one this doesn’t take place. I think this is due to the time the movies were made. When the old movie was made Boston was a very upscaled and thought of as a wealthy place, which gave off the feeling that the mother and daughter were wealthy and had a lot. I think that in the new movie they decided to move the location of them so it upheld the assumption that they were wealthy. The significance of this is that it shows that they upheld that twins live two different lifestyles and in a way explains why they don’t get along right away. It also makes it easier to have drama in the movies to keep watchers interested and keeps them watching. Lastly, the difference is that everything is so much more upscaled in the new movie. In the new movie, it appears as if there was more money put into the movie, which was able to make everything look as if they were more wealthy. The significance of this is that it plays a role in why the girls don’t get along. They have both been raised differently and this might be why there is more drama between the both of them. They don’t understand the others way of living. For example, in the new one the girls lives on a vineyard and has a pool. The other girl lives in London and her mom owns her own wedding dress shop. This might of even created some jealously between them. It creates more of a barrier
