Paranoid

Noise.
Noise.
Noise.
It feels as if someone has placed a bell in your head.

The ringing just keeps getting louder.
You try zoning it out, but it keeps getting louder.
Your head starts to hurt, but mercy doesn’t serve.
You want to leave, but it feels as if your chair has chains hooked up to your feet.
You look towards the door; instead, you see a shadow.
You hear footsteps, but don’t know where they’re coming from.
You promise yourself it is nothing,
But you see the door opening.
You see a hand reaching out and touching the light switch.

As the lights come on,
You realize
You are

The settings of the poem is taking place in Egypt. The writer had the perspective of goddess and the children she had and how she is ethereal not of earth but heavenly. My favorite worship song would have to be “Out of Hiding” by Steffany Gretzinger. The first time I heard it, I was at The Oaks Freedom Weekend and the Lord was setting me free from several things that were holding me back that I didn’t even realize were present. He was breaking away identity issues that others placed on myself and He renamed me as worthy and chosen. This song is dear to my heart because it reminds me of that day and also the point of view of The Father singing over His children. So often, we want to distance ourselves from the Lord whenever we are struggling with sin to hide because we want to clean ourselves up before coming to Him.…

The effect that the Holocaust had on the people who lived through it can be summed up in the word of torture. The surviving victims of the Holocaust were constantly abused, and instead of being treated like humans and equals, they were treated like animals. As a result, many people controlled by the Holocaust had been beaten to death. In correspondence with the three texts, these survivors were not only abused, but also lost loved ones, and were treated inhumanely like animals. In this song we fast forward about twenty years and we get to hear from the black community on the issue of racism in the pre-civil rights era in the south. The imagery in this song paints a very vivid picture of how the black community viewed their surroundings. The song as a whole compares the romanticized view of the South with its dark cultural reality. In the second stanza, the song begins by describing the South as “gallant” filled with scent of sweet and fresh scent of magnolia.…

"Whaa". That's the noise you'd hear everyday in my house. Yes I admit I was a crybaby but honestly in my opinion I was a cute crybaby. I'd cry either because that's just what baby's did or because I made a boom boom in my diaper or maybe because my two year old brother at the time was messing with me. The function of imagery in Ted Kooser’s “Tattoo” Ted Kooser’s poem “Tattoo” can be interpreted in a multitude of ways. One way to interpret this poem is that the tattoo is used as imagery to explain how old men are constantly trying to re live his youth; the way he did when he was young. It is apparent in this poem, but this is not the main issue the speaker is addressing. The issue the speaker describes is how time changes a person. Another way this poem can be read is that tattoos can tell a personal story.…

Those were much easier to ignore and just pretend like they were background noise. When the lady started talking to me, it became harder to cope. By the time I got to the man yelling at me, it was very hard to cope by just ignoring it alone. To cope, I started to listen to what they said and refuting what they were saying to me. For example, the voices would tell me that I stink, and I would think no I just showered.…

    The Scream Poem Analysis

“The Scream” I really like this painting because somehow it involves mystery and insecurity and to my eyes, the rare views in it reflect a sense of how deep the feelings and thoughts of a person can be. In addition, the fact that the composition does not allow viewers to appreciate the face of the screaming person, is what has drawn me to it. Even though it seems to be that it was a lovely afternoon for everyone, it seems that it was not for the scared looking person. Although two boats are seen on the lake and two people walking very pleasingly behind, the scared looking person seems to be astonished and perhaps confused toward something. Hence, looking at this mysterious individual posing his hands on his face with his mouth open has given me the impression that he or she is appreciating something non real that no one else is able to notice; no one but him.…
