Paramore is an alternative rock band. I mainly chose this band due to the fact that it was the first band I had ever listened to. Whenever I hear their songs, it brings nostalgic memories of how I used their music to express the antsy feelings I felt back in middle school. It allowed me to express the depression and suicidal thoughts I felt without harming myself. The songs that affected me the most and helped me get through tough times were “Playing God “, “Feeling Sorry” and “Ignorance “. The lyrics were relatable to how I was feeling about my situation at the time. It allowed me to feel understood and not feel alone with what I was dealing with. In a sense, I suppose their music saved me. They also got me to look into other bands in search …show more content…
Their debut album dropped on July 24, 2005. The album reached number 13 on Billboard and while their single “Pressure” made it on number 62 on Billboard too. On August 2, 2006 they got their first United States headlining tour which sold out immediately. Paramore recorded their second album called “Riot “. The album dropped in June 12, 2007. It reached number 15 on Billboard and number 2 on the U.K. Rock Albums! The creators of Twilight asked Hayley to write and record songs for the movie. The two songs that Paramore wrote for the movie were “Decode “and “I caught myself “. They were released on November 4th of that year. Then in early 2009, Paramore wrote their third album “Brand New Eyes”. A single from their third album was released on February 17, 2010, called “The Only Exception “ became the most successful single from BNE. Later in that year, they god to headline the 2010 Honda Civic Tour. Sadly, on December 18th 2010 the band members, Josh and Zac left the band. Paramore released their 4th album called “Paramore” on April 5th, 2013 and it became number 1 on the United States Billboards Album. One of their singles called “ Ain’t It Fun “ released on February 4th , 2014. That song had won Best Rock Song at the Annual Grammy Awards.
