I have chosen this as it would lead to a career i would love to do due to my massive respect for paramedics and the exciting and challenging role they have. This respect stems from having many family members involved in the NHS and healthcare. My sister, for example, is a massive inspiration as she has managed to work her way up from a student nurse to Head Sister in one of the busiest A&E units in the country.
Being a paramedic requires a wide range of knowledge and experience such as emergency medical care as well as having a basic desire to help and care for others. Once again, I took a leadership role within my tutor group and helped planned events, timings and people.
While in my spare time, I am a customer assistant at a busy supermarket and often handed roles in which I have to organise my timing well as well as delegate jobs to others. I was previously employed as a supervisor; in this role I was required to manage a team on one of our busiest days of the week and during my time there, the business grew.
I have a large family including four young nieces and nephews. I am regularly asked to babysit for them, which requires an immense amount of responsibility and care.
