April 1st, 2016 I am researching a molecule called saxitoxin. Saxitoxin is found in shellfish and algal blooms. Saxitoxin was discovered in 1957, and is one of the most researched paralytic shellfish toxin. Saxitoxin is a potent neurotoxin, which means poison that affects the nervous system. Saxitoxin are a group of neurotoxic chemical compounds. It is a poison found in certain edible mollusks at certain times. Fish and Mollusks consume the poison without much effect. The poison is neurotoxic and causes Respiratory Paralysis that affects Humans and other creatures. It is also known as paralytic Shellfish poisoning.
Saxitoxin chemical formula is C10H17N7O4. The formula says that the molecule has ten carbon atoms,
