The Bible and Shakespeare’s writing are some of the most alluded works of literature. The storylines of Macbeth and Genesis 3 share numerous parallels. Macbeth has temptation, greed and is full of opportunistic characters. Genesis 3 has characters with those traits as well. Shakespeare is plagiarizing in a sense, he steals majority of the basics of the genesis story, Adam and Eve. He justifies plagiarizing by putting his unique Shakespeare twist on the entire storyline.

There are 3 outstanding parallels between Macbeth and the Bible. Eve is equivalent to Lady Macbeth because they are both opportunistic and give their husbands temptation of wrongdoing. Adam is equivalent to Macbeth, they both share the traits of being likeable, easily
