Paralegals Qualities

A paralegal is an important member of any legal team. Paralegals help attorneys prepare for trials, hearings and meetings. This includes conducting research on laws or other published legal works by searching through law books or by an online legal service. Paralegals are responsible for document preparation and legal correspondence. Paralegals may conduct interviews with clients. Some paralegals assist attorneys in a courtroom during a trial. Depending on the size of the office, some paralegals act in an administrative capacity or as an office manager, which may require budgetary skills as well.
