Paragliding - an act of using winds and pieces of cloth to soar through the sky with no motor to propel oneself. Some see it as an act of horror, to float so high above the ground with little control. Others see it as a thrill, to be above everyone and see Earth from a different perspective as you let the wind take you. I, on the other hand, see someone paragliding and think of the science behind it. I have a chemistry teacher who used to para-glide but had to stop because of an injury. But, that didn't stop him from loving it and wanting to talk about it. One day in class he stood up and spent the entire period explaining the science behind it; how the wind moves the machine around; how the person inside can look to find good wind currents;
