Jesus taught his twelve disciples, those that followed him where ever Jesus went and those that were plotting against him that would listen to him parables. Jesus parables or stories were to give deeper insight to how we as Christ’s followers are to live according to how Christ portrayed the lives that were his parables (Kenan,2003). Parables were to answers questions that the disciples might have had, or lessons of life that Jesus felt was important to encourage the disciples of what life was to bring them (Pratt, 2009). There are thirty-one parables in which taught. According to the Gospels, Mathew recorded fifteen, Mark recorded four, and Luke recorded seventeen parables.
