Rockets are more than just a machine. It’s a machine, which can travel a great amount of height, and distance where once the human race thought it was impossible. There are actually many different types of rockets such as, balloon rockets, water rockets, and skyrockets. Every rocket plays the same role, taking you to places whether up into space or under the deep sea. Rockets are fascinating machines that changed history.

Rocket powered aircraft are rockets which human can control from the interior and are used in air compact. As we advance in technology, the rocket aircraft have also advanced. Aircraft designers have developed a rocket-powered plane, which was designed to break through the sound barrier. The Rocket powered aircraft was called Bell X-1, which was, flew by General Chuck Yeager. On October 14, 1947, General Yeager was the first man to break the sound barrier. By having rockets in the military, it made the army much stronger and more reliable.

Rockets can launch satellites into space, and by doing so it gives us a new way to send information around the world. Satellites can be used for communication around the world, from planning military plans, to helping planes and ships navigate, and also can report weather conditions. The first satellite launched in space was called Sputnik by the Soviet Union in 1957. Without the invention of a rocket, we would never been able to send a satellite up in space. Now today, we have 2,271 satellites orbiting around
