Regional Research Paper Hurricane Irma was one of the largest hurricanes in history. Irma had sustained winds at one hundred and eighty-five miles per hour, four hundred and twenty-five miles wide, and caused massive destruction across the Caribbean Islands as well as the United States. The region I have been exploring is the Caribbean Islands, specifically the islands impacted by Irma. I am exploring this topic because although the hurricane hit about a month ago, the islands are still facing the devastation and rebuilding to the islands. After one of the most disastrous storms to ever hit these islands, the islands are facing many problems and trying to overcome their problems.
