The history of Barcelona is quite long, but easy to explain. “Barcelona was founded during the first century by the Phoenicians and Carthaginians. The languages are Catalan and Spanish. Catalan is the side language that is spoken there and Spanish is the main language there, but “Catalan is spoken by 9 million people in Catalonia(“The Guardian” 1). There are a lot of people living in Barcelona, the total population there is 1.63 in 2014 and is steadily increasing. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain at 39.34 mi2. There is a lot of tourism in Barcelona especially during the summer. The best time to go to Barcelona is May through June because of the temperature.
