Pangu has been described as a giant hairy and primitive man for thousands of years. He has two horns on top of his head, and often wore fur. When Pangu had awoken, he had realized that he was left in complete darkness, unable to move and see. He proceeded to stretch his arms and broke the egg in two, releasing the matters of the universe. Lighter and more pure elements drifted upwards, and heavier, impure elements moved downwards, creating Heaven and the Earth. These two elements are Yin, which is the Earth, and Yang, which is Heaven.
