I Merrick

Part 1: The beginning

I have never been the best student in class. I’ve never turned in a homework nor my attendance was perfect, but why anything weird or extremely strange does needs to happen to me. Oh sorry, my name is Merrick I'm from the air civilization. Yea, the world is divided into five civilizations. Fire, those cocky bastards never lose a fight, I would not recommend having a contest or some other kind of competition with them. Earth, those are the most unexcited persons in the whole world, you just give them a piece of rock and they will become zombie for the rest of their lives. The water civilization is one of my favorites. Their food is amazing, and they are pacifists they do not believe

These are the abilities to control the elements, or telekinesis and flying all sort of amazing stuff. From the 4% left two percent are born human and at the age of 17 their abilities, if they have one, come out; and that other 2% only occurs once in three millennials. Those children are born with the abilities to have all the abilities. They are called ‘’Nephilim’s’’. Of course not, you do not have to control fire, to be in the fire civilization. That is just a way that the Capital found to divide the world in an organized matter or that is what I used to think too. I had yet to know my abilities or if I even had one. I was only 16 years old and my birthday was in about three days. Which was December 11. I used to go to ‘’The Academy of Knowledge and Power’’ weird name right? I used to think the same. Like all normal children in this world, I have a best friend which is a white wildcat named Altaic and a secret love that half of the school know who she is and if they don’t know someone will tell them eventually. Leslie Stephanie Marie Cornelius, sorry is not like I am obsessed or anything is just that she is my father's boss daughter, which that makes her the daughter of the President of the world. Yep, I hang around important people all the time and I have to wear suit and ties, which are not my favorites, I am about 5’9 tall and I weigh no more …show more content…
The school is a huge green circle like building that has 400 floors plus the gym and pool on the last one. The first day of freshman year the school gives every student a card just like a credit card, that says your student ID number and your schedule, you just slide it in the elevator and it will take you directly to your class. That day after I got out of my first class. I went to the big silver doors of the elevator I put my ID card into the little tiny horizontal hole the elevator has to its left and almost instantaneously the door opened and I got in. My second class was Applied Physics on the 124th floor. Long trip ha? Not really I was there in just about two minutes and a half. When the doors of the elevator opened I was in the science lab, it was a blue lab, with pictures of all the best scientist in the world. At the end of it I turned left and the second red door to my right that was room 124-13 my class. I passed my ID card once more and the door unlocked. I opened and Ms. Moore was sitting there with her blue wig and huge red glasses, wearing her long long extravagant dresses with flowers and birds. Her blue eyes seemed to stab my face every time I got to class. Of course I was not her favorite student. She was the perfect student kind of teacher. I did some research of her and I found that she is a direct descendant of Julius Alta flex the one who

I slithered through the group of people crowding the fine arts room and sat in the back corner. I prayed that I would have an extra day to go over my video, that in my opinion thoroughly sucked. My peers started sharing their movies and I began drowning in my thoughts. “ Ripley Richardson, please come to the office” I was startled due to having my name called on the intercom to 2500 students.…

Shining Library Book Me and classmates were told that we had to do something nice for the school. It wasn’t just our grade, it was the whole middle school who had to something. There were tons of jobs to be done just inside the building. When it was nice out, some of the 8th graders would go out and do the things outside, while the rest of us stayed inside. My job was organizing the bookshelf in the library.…

I walked briskly on a summer morning on the sidewalk to my college campus, Yale! I had been accepted in the middle of my Canby high school days because of my excellent grades, leadership skills, and my confidence in speeches. One other person had been accepted in my grade at that time named Tanya, but rumor has it that her father works in the staff and influenced the principal's decision with some ‘green paper’. Ever since 5th grade, she has taken my ideas into her projects, wowing the teachers and getting perfect grades. One time in middle school I caught her fumbling through my locker searching through my binder to find my lab notes during lunch.…

The cheer team was laying around on the freezing, uncomfortable floor in coach Cook’s classroom waiting for the longest cheer parent meeting to be over, when one of the girls say,”Instead of sitting here bored out of our minds, let’s play a game!” One girl comments,”Let’s play HIde and Seek around the school!” All of the cheerleaders agreed, and someone started counting and we all started running through the cold, creepy hallways. Dreams; we all have them, whether they are dreams that arise in your sleep or dreams that will determine what and who you become in a future time. According to Henry David Thoreau, "Dreams are the touchstones of our character. " When first pondering upon this statement, it is difficult to decipher which "dreams" Thoreau is describing. If this quote were to be broken apart into individual words, "dreams" would refer to our desires and our hopes. What is meant by touchstones in this case is certain standards or tests.…

My First Time Babysitting It was a dark rainy Friday evening, school just let out for the weekend and I was free except I still had one thing to do left, as I was doing a weird walk jog across the campus while trying not to get soaked just to get to the main building, as my phone started to make this weird ringing noise and obviously I got a bunch of looks. When I looked at my phone I saw that my dad was calling me and when I answered my dad told me not to walk home in the rain and just wait it out. Once I got to the main high school building, I walked through the maze of hallways and lockers, and finally just finally I made it to the front of the building. It was still pouring down rain when I looked out of the window, by this time the storm was almost through…
