Climate Change is severely affecting animals that rely on land and specific food sources. This is true because once an animals land is destroyed it removes their food source as well. For example the Giant Panda's diet revolves around bamboo. Now that climate change is ruining bamboo forests the panda is left with little to no food. This forces them to migrate from their low elevation habitats, to higher elevations like mountains.…

The Endangered Species Act of 1973 was passed when the U.S. Congress acknowledged that “various species of fish, wildlife, and plants in the United States have been rendered extinct as a consequence of economic growth and development” (“Endangered Species Act of 1973”). This congressional action has made the killing and eradication of any species illegal across the United States and its territories if said species is protected by the U.S. Federal Government. The Endangered Species Act has certainly been effective in the sense that it prevented many species from going extinct, but that does not mean it is above scrutiny or refinement. There are a few ethical flaws which are reflected in the limitations of protection status offered by the Endangered…
The Red Panda, scientifically known as Ailurus fulgens, is a mammal that has been classified as a relative to the giant panda and the raccoon. They usually grow to the size of a house cat, but their raccoon-like bushy tails can add another 18 inches. These tails are used as wraparound blankets in their cold mountain environments. They are also referred to as "firefox" or "lesser panda". The red panda's diet is very unusual for a mammal.…

Coral Reefs One of the world’s most species rich and bio diverse ecosystems are the tropical coral reefs. Emmysarus, a staff writer/ blogger for Scribol stated in their article “The World’s Most Endangered Ecosystems: Coral Reefs, “Unfortunately, areas which are home to the richest biodiversity often suffer from the greatest amount of damage and disruption”. These “rainforests of the sea” are home to thousands of species of fish and invertebrates that live among the hundreds of different and diverse kinds of these living builders. Coral reefs also provide multiple ecosystem services including wave and storm protection, and provide us with food and medicine.…
Poverty World Wide. In the beginning of the 1800s Most people living in poverty were orphans, widows, or too old or sick to work. Domain: Eukarya Giant Pandas belong in this domain as they are composed of eukaryotic cells that have a specific task or function in the body. They are larger cells that possess membrane- bound nucleus and membranous organelles (including endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, chloroplasts, and mitochondria). Like a prokaryotic cell, they also possess a plasma membrane, cytoplasm and ribosomes. Aksi giant pandas perform cell division through mitosis and reproduce sexually through meiosis.…

As well as, how Microcredit is being used in developing countries in the Latin American, sub-Saharan Africa and Asian regions to give people a better chance to improve themselves financially. At same time, countries in Africa are experiencing a lot of these problems like child mortality, protecting themselves from diseases like Cholera, AIDS, Malaria, Ebola, poverty and many more.…
Many species in the world are endangered and eventually becoming extinct. The main problem that generates extinction is human activity; people cause extinction every day and unknowingly to them, it is killing innocent animals. Due to pollution, natural forces, human interaction, and loss of habitats, animal extinction is a major crisis in the world; people are the only ones that can save the animal population before it is too late. Pollution is among the most insidious threats to animal extinction. It can be as obvious as sewage and oil spills in water or as invisible as chemicals used every day.…
My genius hour topic for 2017 was based upon animal extinction. For me, animals are highly important to this world, and we humans are going against animal species, leading up to my inspiration to choose the topic I went with. My starting plan was to go without a partner because that way, I could take all the decisions without having to care for someone else. Once I decided to go on without a partner, I decided to do a website that I could display my topic on, being the easiest option I could take. But I was a bit wrong, making a website isn’t difficult, but finding sources to back up my topic was quite a challenge, because there weren’t many sources talking about how animal extinction can affect us humans.…
