Setting Goals: Measurable Way Of Assessing My Performance

For me, setting goals provides a measurable way of assessing my performance. From the last assignment, I discovered my personality ISTJ. With this type of personality, I have very high standards for my behavior and setting goals is natural to me. I am highly motivated to achieve, especially when I know I am doing that make sense to me or my career. Also, the J function keeps me narrow enough that I don’t lose important papers, miss deadlines, or fail to complete what I start. I am comfortable with goals setting because I am a person seeking structure in organization and actions. When I failed about achieving a goal, I often evaluate myself and my actions, learn from, and solve anything that I didn’t hit by analyzing the gaps.

But over this assignment, I have realized that before the way I set and manage my goals wasn’t the good way. In fact, I have left many potential successes because I failed to set SMART goals. Sometimes, I didn’t set important goals because I didn’t have the SMART approach to my goals, and didn’t realize that they could be important to me. This is nice to do only what inspires me and to let life unfold.
However, there is much more inside of me. Creating a vision is inspiring and it suits my personality. If you want to do your vision a reality, you must do some of that work of setting goals. During the assignment, I have used different supports who help me to write my S.M.A.R.T goals such as Moodle, videos, blogs and a book by Stella Cottrell named «The Study Skills
